Sherry and John Petersik of the super popular blog “Young House Love” made one Canadian stop on their book tour. Which Canadian city do you think it was? You guessed it! It was most certainly Toronto and I was super thrilled when they posted the book tour locations on the blog and found that they would be at West Elm in Liberty Village November 12th. Their book of the same name is a DIY/crafter’s guide to 243 creative do-it-yourself projects for your home. The book is wonderful, and I can’t wait to try the projects!
Young House Love
I went my friend Alicia, and we arrived at West Elm to see the longest line in the world. I didn’t think we were going to get a chance to meet Sherry and John! We spent three hours of standing, running up to the cash register to buy things, putting money in the parking meter, and going to the washroom, as well as looking at every single item at West Elm! Their Christmas stuff is great! Oh, and there was hot chocolate and cookies too!

Eventually, we did get to the front of the line. It was 9pm and the store was closed! I told Alicia as we waited that I had soooo many questions for them, I couldn’t stop talking about how cool they are, and I was super excited to make the best of my minute or two I had to spend with them! By the time we got to them I awkwardly shoved my copy of the book in front of them to sign, fairly sure I was going to burst out bawling. I totally froze and wasn’t able to say much except that I love the blog and that they are a total inspiration to me. Whomp whomp 
Yea social anxiety! They were so nice however, charismatic and bubbly even after three plus hours of having to smile for stranger’s cameras and sign books. They seemed like totally great people.

Lucky you!!!! I have been a fan of their blog for a while now, and same here, I cant wait to savor the book and try out some of the projects!
It was a very lovely experience! I wish I could have had more time to speak with them though!
